Field projects

Wildlife monitoring, in the field.

We carry out long-term wildlife monitoring, supported by nest-box work and remote camera systems across a range of farms, estates and conservation sites.

Who we work with

Projects shaped around each landscape.

Every site is different. We work with landowners, farms and conservation teams to understand the habitat, identify opportunities and monitor what happens over time.

The projects below combine field knowledge with remote cameras and practical nesting support, helping wildlife while keeping disturbance low.

Little Owl monitored at Woodoaks Farm
Hertfordshire

Woodoaks Farm

Since 2020, L&L has followed the farm’s Little Owl story and supported wider raptor monitoring with nest boxes and remote cameras. Woodoaks records more than 100 bird species, including three owl species, and its wildlife work formed part of the farm’s BBC Countryfile feature.

Lopemede Farm

L&L works closely with Lopemede Farm on wildlife monitoring and nest-box projects, including the barn owl box that successfully raised three owlets in 2026. Lopemede is one of our largest partner sites, supporting 15 wildlife cameras across the farm.

Woodfine Wine

L&L works with Woodfine Wine, a Soil Association-certified organic vineyard and smallholding. Its orchard, wildflower meadows and hedgerows support a rich variety of wildlife, and since our partnership began, multiple successful tawny owl broods have been raised on the site.
